2020 Australian Tennis Recruit – Dario Kmet

The Person

About Me:

Personal and Professional Thoughts: Dario Kmet

I have many planned goals for this year and for the years to come. Over the next 18 months I am aiming for a UTR over 13 in the future now that I have achieved top 100 AR (Australian men’s ranking). When I finish senior school at the end of 2019 I want to achieve to have a 75 plus ATAR (tertiary rank). I believe if I can commit to working hard, these goals can be very achievable.

I feel a team environment greatly suits my personality as I’m always willing to be around new people and friends and it is probably the best way I learn and have fun. What best describes my personality is out there, what I love is a team environment where each of the players are motivating and pushing each other. I believe this is a great way to succeed in this sport especially as its considered an individual sport.

Coach’s Comments: Luke Bourgeois

Over the past five years Dario has shown himself to be an extremely enthusiastic, positive, self-driven, fun loving, resilient and respectful young man. He is also highly competitive with a very strong work ethic, displaying the traits of many of our champion Australian players of yesteryear.

Dario is also a great team player and a valued member of our team. His positive attitude, work rate and sense of fun has such a positive effect with our team.

Leadership & Community:

  • Dario is an enthusiastic student and always participates in school house activities and challenges
  • Dario undertook leadership roles within Trinity Grammar School. He was a Prefect in the Junior school and as a member of the senior cohort he lead by example and showed initiative and maturity.

Personal Quote:

“Being committed, passionate, putting others before me and always performing to my maximum ability on and off court.”
